How to get here

By car
ideally located at the main crossroads of the south between Douz and Matmata, this body of water surrounded by greenery, makes this rather dry and hot area quite refreshing.

Long having been difficult to access, it is now connected by an asphalt road, allowing access for all vehicles.

On the main road, linking old Matmata  to Douz, just take a southerly direction at the intersection of "Café Jlilli" (about 70 km coming from Douz or 35 km from Matmata,  after passing the village of Tamezret). Enjoy a cup of tea or a refreshing soda at our friend's Hamadi's place. Being one the first to have settled in this area, he will entertain you with some stories about the desert. Follow the route of the pipeline for about 55km then turn on to the right which ends after 14 km at the Oasis.
